Mewujudkan Kemandirian Lokal Melalui Upaya Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Lorong di Kota Makassar
Abstract
One of the forms of local self-reliance created by the community empowerment efforts undertaken by theGovernment of Makassar City is the empowerment of the alley community. Moving from that thought, the purpose of this study is to describe how the existence of local self-reliance through the characteristics of: have the capacity of self; Have collective responsibility; And have the ability to think. The research design uses qualitative descriptive approach. Based on the results of research conducted, then some activities that can improve the self-capacity of the aisle community in the city of Makassar are: self-capacity improvement motivation; basic skills training for the alley community; forming a corporation entity; women's aisle industry program; and partnerships between entrepreneurs and UKM. As for some activities that can
increase collective responsibility of the aisle community in Makassar City are: following the maintenance activities of house and environment hygiene; follow environmental safety maintenance activities; follow religious activities; and following the activities of the economic business group. While some activities that can improve the ability to think and act in a sustainable way in Makassar City are: to give suggestions/opinions; community participation in the process/decision-making process; provide advice on the course of development; and provide an assessment and submit it as an evaluation material.
Abstrak
Salah satu wujud kemandirian lokal yang tercipta dari upaya pemberdayaan masyarakat yang dilakukan oleh
Pemerintah Kota Makassar adalah pemberdayaan masyarakat lorong. Beranjak dari pemikiran tersebut,
maka tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana wujud kemandirian lokalmelalui
karakteristik: memiliki kapasitas diri; memiliki tanggung jawab kolektif; dan memiliki kemampuan berpikir.
Desain penelitiannyamenggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang
dilakukan, maka beberapa kegiatan yang dapat meningkatkan kapasitas diri dari masyarakat lorong di Kota
Makassar adalah: motivasi peningkatan kapasitas diri; pelatihan keterampilan dasar bagi masyarakat lorong;
membentuk badan usaha lorong; program industri lorong perempuan; dan kemitraan pengusaha dan UKM.
Adapun beberapa kegiatan yang dapat meningkatkan tanggung jawab kolektif masyarakat lorong di Kota
Makassar adalah: mengikuti kegiatan pemeliharaan kebersihan rumah dan lingkungan; mengikuti kegiatan
pemeliharaan keamanan lingkungan; mengikuti kegiatan keagamaan; dan mengikuti kegiatan kelompok
usaha ekonomi. Sedangkan beberapa kegiatan yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir dan bertindak
secara berkelanjutan masyarakat lorong di Kota Makassar adalah: mengemukakan saran/pendapat;
keikutsertaan masyarakat dalam proses/perumusan pembuatan keputusan; memberikan saran terhadap
jalannya pembangunan; dan memberikan penilaian dan menyampaikannya sebagai bahan evaluasi.
