Studi Kasus Disparitas Sarana dan Prasarana SMAN dan MAN di Kabupaten Barito Kuala
Abstract
Salah satu karakter pendidikan yang berkualitas ialah sarana dan prasarana sekolah yang lengkap untuk membantu siswa mencapai tujuan pembelajaran. Namun, pada pelaksanaannya, terdapat perbedaan tingkat persediaan sarana dan prasarana antar sekolah sehingga perlu mendapat perhatian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana kelengkapan sarana dan prasarana pada SMAN dan MAN, serta pengaruhnya terhadap proses pembelajaran. Penelitian studi kasus ini dilakukan di SMA Negeri 1 Marabahan dan MA Negeri 2 Barito Kuala. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui teknik observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Responden berjumlah enam orang, terdiri atas guru dan siswa. Analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik reduksi, data display, verifikasi dan triangulasi. Hasil penelitian, ditemukan adanya disparitas sarana dan prasarana antara SMA Negeri 1 Marabahan dan MA Negeri Barito Kuala. SMA Negeri 1 Marabahan memiliki sarana dan prasarana yang lebih lengkap dibandingkan MA Negeri 2 Barito Kuala, yang berdampak pada perbedaan jumlah siswa yang terdaftar, minat belajar, kesiapan belajar, dan prestasi peserta didik. Rendahnya jumlah peserta didik yang bersekolah di MA Negeri mengakibatkan berkurangnya anggaran dana Bantuan Operasional Sekolah (BOS) di MA Negeri sehingga operasional rumah tangga di MA Negeri menjadi terhambat. MA Negeri tidak dapat melakukan pengadaan sarana dan prasarana, sedangkan sarana dan prasarana yang sudah ada di MA Negeri sebelumnya tidak dapat beroperasi secara optimal. Rekomendasi peneliti ialah melalui kolaborasi antara pihak sekolah dan pengawas madrasah dalam mendorong peningkatan daya saing MA Negeri melalui beragam strategi. Intervensi oleh pengambil kebijakan juga diperlukan untuk membangun citra madrasah, seperti dengan meningkatkan branding ataupun promosi. Diharapkan dengan skema ini minat masyarakat bertambah sehingga besaran pembiayaan sarana dan prasarana juga meningkat.
